About Me

Jared Cohen-RichardsI am currently working at Hulu as Sr. Employment Branding and Communications Design & Program Manager, overseeing internal design and branding. Projects include digital messaging signage in Santa Monica, Seattle, and New York, email communications, events, and Hulu Jobs social platforms, while supporting various workplace experience, talent development, benefits, and recruiting projects. I’ve been lucky enough to be able to expand on my skills in After Effects and continue to perfect that art of clear, concise communication.

Prior to becoming a certified Hulugan, I was an Art Director at BLT Communications, a creative agency in Hollywood, focusing on digital creative for Broadway productions and campaigns for Hulu, Netflix, and Disney. Broadway shows included The Book of Mormon (New York, London, National Tours), A Delicate Balance, Larry David’s Fish in the Dark, Skylight, and This is Our Youth. During my time with BLT I was able to expand my knowledge of digital advertising and campaign creation, while beginning to learn After Effects.

Before my time with BLT, I enjoyed the magic of The Walt Disney Company from 2006-2014. I most recently served as Manager of Graphic Design for Disney Corporate Creative Resources, an in-house creative agency within The Walt Disney Company. Our clients included D23 (The Official Disney Fan Club) and Walt Disney Archives, as well as supporting a number of corporate initiatives like Internal Communications, HR, Disney Citizenship, Disney VoluntEARS, and Global Diversity, as well as creative needs for executive leadership.

As a native of San Diego, I grew up frequenting southern California theme parks, visiting construction sites with my dad, an architect, and spending lots of time in a variety of art-based extracurricular activities. (See: Yearbook nerd for six years — and proud of it!) While attending the Art Institute of California—San Diego for a degree in Graphic Design, I worked in Multimedia Services at the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center where I experienced a truly hands-on approach to design. Upon graduating, I moved up the coast to Los Angeles to work for Disney — a lifelong dream come true.

I currently reside in Glendale, CA with my husband, Tim. My favorite pastimes when I’m away from the computer are cooking (instant gratification!), spending time with friends, my two nieces, and hiking around southern California. I want to learn how to play tennis in the coming year.
